First Audition Announcement

We are in the middle of the casting process for the five principle players. It's a bit earlier than usual, but I would like to have the time to get the word around the Boston community of actors so that we can find people who really fit. Also there are costume considerations for a couple of the parts. The sooner we get them cast the sooner we can have the costume designer working with a real person, and more specifically a real person's sizes.

If you know of anyone who might be interested in the following parts please use the contact form to the right, or send an email to gtmithesis@gmail.com with Ghost Tours Auditions in the subject line.

SARAH
Sarah is an African American woman in her late 20s or early 30s. She is a PhD candidate studying history. She is focused, driven, and ambitious. In order to cover her living expenses while in school, and because she loves teaching people about history, she started the business of Old Town Ghost Tours. She struggles with finding the balance between school and the business.

ESTHER
Esther is one of the actors playing a ghost on the tour. She is in her 20s, but looks about 10 years older. Her role on the tour is of a Puritan woman from 1710. She is proper and reserved. She has an interest in Sarah's business being successful, but no actual head for business herself.

TIM
Tim is one of the other actors playing a ghost on the tour. He is 25-30. His role on the tour is of a bootlegger from the 1920s. He is a bit of a charmer, but thinks he is better at business than he actually is.

PRIYA
Priya is an Indian American woman in her early 30s. She is Sarah's best friend, and the teaching assistant for Sarah's professor. She is the ideal student: smart, organized, and knows how to play the game.

PROFESSER MESSERE
The Professor is a white man in his 50s or 60s. He is teaching Quantitate Analysis of Historical Data. He wants Sarah to succeed in his class, but is frustrated when she won't just do it his way.
